work. and then play.

Work and play makes for a satisfying day. Especially with my GFA family.

Dylan and Cassandra are going to India in July on a youth vision tour. And tomorrow we are having a garage sale to raise money for this. Up until now we have been taking donations and we had to sort through all of that today. We have soooo much stuff to sell! Hopefully it doesn't rain and we get lots of people going through buying things!

After that we had a bbq and played with water balloons which turned into a war in which you would use any water you could find.

Joan (now nick-named G.I.Joan) was ganged up on by the kids and is armed with a jug filled with water and a water bottle. I think she won. :D

Bean bag toss!

Then we played soccer for awhile on our new property next door. Now, not only do we have enough people for soccer, we have somewhere to play it!

It was a nice sunny day-awesome for a picnic and it was especially nice to laugh and play with the family.

e and j series-the continued.

And so begins the E and J series on my blog. That is, Elizabeth and Jessica. The fact is, the "series" has really been going on for as long as both of us can remember, it's just new for my blog. I thought it would be cool to record some of the fun we have even though we're kind of grown up now...and lots of things have changed. THIS remains the same, folks...the 2 of us...still friends, able to start back up again where we left off - no matter how long it has been.

a taste of summer.

Today it was warm and lovely outside with the sun shining and a cool breeze that made it just the right temperature. It made it hard to stay inside...one downside of working in an office. I went out for a few minutes in the afternoon, though, and I could have kept driving all day! With the wind blowing in my hair and the music playing...mmm.
But, I have a feeling that it will not last long. There will probably be at least one more snowfall. And I actually hope there will be. We haven't had much of a winter this year...I'm not quite ready for it to go away yet!

So what do you think? Will it snow again? Or is spring here to stay?
